NLEP Simplifies Site Selection

North Louisiana Economic Partnership (NLEP) is a "first stop shop" for existing businesses and prospective companies looking to expand or locate in 14 parishes in North Louisiana.  NLEP facilitates information gathering with useful tools and resources and customizes request-for-information packets for prospects.

With our experience and network of contacts, NLEP can help with almost any issue: advice and advocacy on incentives, building a team of partners to support your growth plans, or providing logistical support and coordination for site visits.

NLEP SERVICES OVERVIEW:

NLEP services falls into six main categories: business development, existing business retention and expansion, business intelligence/research, marketing/communications, investor relations and advocacy. Each of these programs support NLEP three goals of business development, workforce development and regional advocacy to support economic development.

Business Development Services

 Project Management

  • Customized RFI proposals
  • Support and facilitation throughout the decision-making process
  • Initial real estate search based on a prospect’s specifications
  • Connection to real estate brokers and/or landowners
  • Planning and scheduling site visits and community familiarization tours
  • Engaging various partners for support
  • Access and introductions to area leaders, both private and public sector, including private meetings with:
    • Senior Executives from existing companies
    • Corporate functional staff (e.g., HR, finance)
    • Elected officials
  • Advice and advocacy with federal, state and local incentives
  • Marketing assistance after location decision is made

Site Development

  • Assist private and public property owners with applying for the Louisiana Certified Sites program
  • Facilitate the collection of site details, such as maps, environmental reports, etc. in order to enhance the marketability of properties in North Louisiana

Cultivate Key Relationships

  • Build working relationships with key influencers such site selectors, c-level executives in target sectors, real estate brokers, developers and Louisiana Economic Development project managers
  • Attend conventions and trade shows to network with key decision-makers and influencers
