Scott Martinez, CEcD

NLEP President
Scott Martinez has more than a decade and a half of economic leadership. For the last two years, Martinez has led a team of economic developers and marketing professionals at NLEP, one of only 43 Accredited Economic Development Organizations in North America. Scott is a Certified Economic Developer, as designated by the International Economic Development Council. Prior to joining NLEP, Scott headed up the Hutto Economic Development Corporation. Martinez also developed and led economic development efforts in Round Rock, Texas and served as Associate Director of the Greater Conroe Economic Development Council in the Houston, Texas metro area for five years. He worked at the Mississippi Development Authority with Hurricane Katrina redevelopment efforts, as well as, in the Global Business division of the agency. He holds a Bachelors degree from Ole Miss as well as a Master of Science degree in Economic Development from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Angie White
Senior Vice President- Business Retention & Workforce
Angie has 21 years of economic development, workforce development, and finance experience. For the last seven years, she has led NLEP’s business retention and workforce development program. Angie is a Certified Economic Developer, as designated by the International Economic Development Council. Prior to joining NLEP, Angie worked for twelve years with EMP Global in Washington, DC as its Portfolio Officer and Investment Analyst with the Latin America Group. She earned her Master of Business Administration and Master of Arts in International Affairs from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She is a Shreveport native and a graduate of Centenary College. She serves on the boards of the Shreveport-Bossier Business Alliance for Higher Education (SBBA), the Workforce Investment Board, Region 70 for Louisiana, and the CoHabitat Foundation
Liz Pierre
Senior Vice President- Legal & Research
With more than 21 years of economic development and legal experience, Liz acts as NLEP's legal counsel and leads up our research department. She provides demographic, real estate and community information to site selectors and companies looking to locate or expand in North Louisiana. She will also assist communities with identifying and certifying properties. Prior to joining NLEP, Liz worked with the Ouachita Economic Development Corporation. Before moving into the world of economic development, Liz was an attorney, working with the 4th JDC Indigent Defenders Board and in her own private practice, Pierre & Pierre. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center and her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Liz is a graduate of the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma. She serves as the Chair of Workforce Investment Board (WIB) Area 81.
Christine Rambo
Senior Vice President- Business Development & Communications
With nearly 24 years of communications, marketing and economic development experience, Christine directs NLEP’s communication strategies, business development and marketing efforts. Christine is focused on marketing the region to prospective companies, enhancing the brand awareness of NLEP and promoting the positive perceptions of North Louisiana. Christine previously worked as the state marketing specialist for a network of Louisiana Small Business Development Centers, and as an anchor/reporter for KTBS in Shreveport, LA and KNOE in Monroe, LA. She earned three Louisiana Associated Press Awards for her feature writing and investigative journalism. Christine graduated cum laude from The American University in Washington, D.C. with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. She is currently earning her Master of Business Administration from The University of Louisiana at Monroe, La.
Ashley Busada

Director – Investor Relations and Business Development
With nearly six years of experience in government relations and economic development, Ashley Busada leds NLEP's investor relations and campaign development along with political advocacy. Ashley handles investor communications and outreach with NLEP’s nearly 180 public and private investors. Ashley also works in business development, recruiting new employers to North Louisiana. Prior to joining NLEP, Ashley worked as the Government Relations Director for the Bossier Chamber of Commerce. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Communications from the Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
Michele Riney

Director - Operations
Michele has nearly 12 years of experience in office management, human resource and accounting. She manages the operational, human resources, and general fiscal activities of the NLEP. She has been tasked with the responsibility of ensuring NLEP operates as efficiently as possible. Prior to joining NLEP, Michele worked for Delta Airlines as an international reservations specialist. Her prior experience also included working as a database manager for Burnett’s Staffing; as a personal assistant for Dallas-based Ashwood Investments; and as a human resource/accounts payable specialist for Atlantic Industrial Services; and as human resources assistant for Datatrac, Fort Worth, Texas.
