    NLEP Showcases Ruston and Monroe to Corporate Location Decision-makers

    MONROE–RUSTON, La. — North Louisiana Economic Partnership (NLEP), an Accredited Regional Economic Development Organization, will showcase Ruston and Monroe to an influential group of national site selectors during our 2016 NLEP Site Selectors Familiarization Tour from September 20th to 22nd.  Site selectors assist companies with their decisions on where to locate or to expand their operations. The five site selectors touring Monroe and Ruston have worked with Fortune 500 companies, such as Target, Nestle, Best Buy, Gardner Denver Thomas and Disney. They significantly influence their client company’s corporate decisions about where to locate their operations.

    During the familiarization tour of Ruston and Monroe, the site selectors will hear first-hand from regional companies about our workforce and business climate and meet with key political and business leaders.  The site selectors will receive a comprehensive overview of opportunities and programs in our region as well as visit CenturyLink, Monster Moto, Louisiana Tech University and Grambling State University.

    The following site selectors will be visiting our region:

    Dennis J. Donovan, Partner, Wadley Donovan Gutshaw Consulting - Bridgewater, NJ
    Dennis Donovan is responsible for worldwide site selection services for Wadley Donovan Gutshaw Consulting. WDGC has been advising corporations on office and industrial facilities location for 37 years. Its client base captures about a third of the Fortune 500.
     
    Client assignments have spanned an array of industries (e.g., manufacturing, distribution, business services) and functions (e.g., headquarters, back offices, R&D centers, warehouses and production facilities). Dennis’ site selection clients include Amerigroup, Amylin, Apria Health, Bank of America, Barclays, BOC/Linde, Covance, Chubb, Gardner Denver, Genentechl/Roche, Harbor Freight Tools, Marriott, Pitney Bowes, and Target. Middle market clientele included Metalized Carbon (carbon graphite), Plibrico (refractory materials), Grafco (plastics), Indo-Mim (precision metals), and PFERD (brushings).
     
    Dennis has assumed a leadership position in the industry’s primary trade association - CoreNet Global and was a member of CoreNet Global’s 2020 Strategy of Place Task Force, which assessed future trends in global location strategy. He earned one of the organization’s luminary awards for the “Around the World in 90 Minutes” sessions.
     
    Larry Gigerich, Owner and Managing Director, Ginovus - Indianapolis, IN
    Larry Gigerich owns and manages Ginovus. Gigerich is a recognized economic development leader with 20 years of local and state government, not-for-profit and private sector experience. Prior to the founding of Ginovus in 2002, Larry worked in a variety of economic development settings, including Deputy Director of Business Development for the Indiana Department of Commerce, Senior Advisor to the Mayor of the City of Indianapolis for Economic Development and Workforce Development, and President of Indianapolis Economic Development Corporation.
     
    Larry Gigerich has worked on approximately 500 economic development projects resulting in over $10 billion of capital investment, the creation of over 80,000 new jobs and the retention of over 160,000 existing jobs. At Ginovus, Larry has served nationally recognized companies such as: BP, Casey’s General Stores, Charles Schwab, Comcast, Dorel Juvenile Group, Formica, Genesco, Interactive Intelligence, Multi-Color Corporation, Oracle, OSP Group, Reckitt Benckiser, Roche Diagnostics, The Capital Group Companies, and The Finish Line.
     
    Named by Governing Magazine as one of the nation’s best economic development officials, Larry is a regular speaker and panelist at national site selection conferences and events. In addition, he was instrumental in the launch and leadership of Tech Pointe, an initiative designed to nurture growing and emerging companies throughout Indiana. 
     
    Bob Hess, Newmark Grubb Knight Frank Global Corporate Services- Chicago, IL
    Bob Hess is responsible for strategy development, quality assurance and business development at Newmark Grubb Knight Frank Global Corporate Services. He has conducted over 250 global assignments, including major capital investment projects in Asia, Europe and Mexico. Other past experience includes his role as a partner with Deloitte & Touche for 18 years in its Fantus Location Strategies service line.
     
    Robert’s other experience includes supply chain planning, distribution network optimization, manufacturing rationalization and consolidation, relocation feasibility, strategic cost reduction, large capital investment program management, and commercial complex financial incentive negotiations.

    Seth Martindale, Managing Director CBRE Consulting - Los Angeles, CA
    Seth Martindale leads location analysis and economic incentive negotiations engagements for CBRE, the world’s premier full service real estate service company. Seth currently helps clients by developing practical and economical portfolio solutions through implementing site location strategies, portfolio optimization plans, and negotiating economic incentives. His clients include Microsoft, Kawasaki, Bank of America, Visa, Pepsi Bottling Group, Walt Disney, along with defense contractors: Northrup Grumann, SAIC, Level 3 and the U.S. Air Force.
     
    Prior to CBRE, he was employed with Ernst & Young where he assisted with implementing best practices for a multi-billion dollar casino development, several real estate investment trusts, and one of the country’s largest mortgage lenders. Seth currently works as an engagement manager on multiple location analysis and incentive negotiation projects. Additionally, he provides financial support in the analysis and evaluation of incentive offers from state and local jurisdictions.
     
    John R. Rocca, Managing Director, JLL Consulting- Los Angeles, CA
    John Rocca is responsible for business development, sales, and service delivery of all consulting services for Jones Lang Salle across the Western U.S. JLL is a Fortune 500, professional services and investment management firm. Key clients include Confidential Aerospace Company, Wachovia (Wells Fargo), CIGNA Healthcare, Discover Financial, Union Bank, Confidential Manufacturing Company, Scotts Fertilizer, eBay, TIAA-CREF, PR Newswire, AT&T, Pepsi Bottling group, Nestlé Research & Development, UBS, Loews Hotels, PR Newswire, and Confidential Technology Firm.
     
    John’s expertise spans advisory services work for headquarters, office, back-office, data centers, distribution and fulfillment centers, manufacturing plants, R&D/labs, and call centers. Prior to joining JLL, John was with CBRE in its Strategic Consulting practice for 13 years and Deloitte for 4 years. He also served for 2.5 years as an associate with KMG Consulting, a Los Angeles-based boutique real estate and urban economics consulting firm.

    Billed as a Celebration of Economic Development, the Top Event features respected site selector, Del Boyette, President & CEO of Boyette Strategic Advisors, who will discuss economic development trends that impact North Louisiana. The Top Event will be held February 6th at Sam's Town Hotel, Shreveport, LA starting at 5:30pm with a Reception followed by the Dinner and Program at 6:30pm. NLEP's Annual Meeting is considered the largest economic development event in North Louisiana, attracting 500 attendees last year.  The Top Event will also honor NLEP's Top Award Winnners.
