NEON Recruits the Right Talent


The North Louisiana Employment Opportunities Network, or NEON, is a workforce marketing program of the North Louisiana Economic Partnership.  NEON is designed to grow awareness of this region’s employers and the skills they are seeking; highlight programs that train workers for demand fields; and create opportunities for networking with target companies or their employees.

NEON works with individual employers or an industry sector to recruit the right, qualified employee base to North Louisiana to help companies sustain their growth.  NEON develops content such as brochures and online resources like webcast which employers can use at no cost to recruit key employees to North Louisiana.

NEON Services

  • Internet and social media sites that market the region to local and non-local job seekers, such as trailing spouses who have relocated to the region with a spouse and are looking for jobs. Visit www.workthisway.org to learn more.
  • Consultation with specific employers (new or existing) or sector-specific groups of employers to address particular recruitment issues and develop creative solutions
  • Recruiter training introductions to relevant faculty/staff at regional universities, community and technical colleges.


Examples of How NEON Can Help:

  • NEON is currently assisting CenturyLink, the third largest telecommunications company in the U.S., with recruiting key talent  to its national headquarters in Monroe, Louisiana.  Assistance includes help with training their recruiters, developing videos that highlight the assets and qualify of life in Monroe, and assistance developing recruitment strategies.

  • NEON helped start TechRouler, a coalition of technology companies focused on highlighting the emergiing tech sector in North Louisiana in order to recruit knowledge workers to the region to sustain the industry's growth. Pictured below is a TechRouler launch event to introduce the organizaton to the community and highlight the employment opportunities in this sector.
