Camp Minden's History & Mission

Orginally constructed as the Louisiana Army Ammunition Plant (LAAP), the federal government deeded the nearly 15,000 acre property to the State of Louisiana in January 2005 under the control of the Louisiana Military Department. Today the property acts as a Louisiana National Guard Training Site as well as an industrial complex for economic development.

With more than 1,500 commercial acres available, Camp Minden will lease out 10 acre plots. More land is available depending on the needs of the client. Camp Minden is focused on effectively managing the existing resources (infrastructure, facilities, land and personnel) and maximizing opportunities for both Commercial Operations and Military Training.

Camp Minden is located approximately 18 miles east of Shreveport, La off of I-20 on 100 Louisiana Blvd, Minden, Louisiana 71055. Take exit 38 to Hwy 80 then left for ½ mile.
